I am a gerontologist from the US, with my PhD in Engineering from Denmark. I specialize in welfare technologies and quality of life in dementia care, but have broad interests and enjoy learning new things just for the sake of learning.

This was taken over the Independence Day week a few years ago, normally there aren’t a bunch of American flags on the table 😉 But it is kinda cute that my mom keeps a Danish flag in the kitchen window!

Thank you! It has been in the family since my mother’s side moved to South Dakota from Germany several generations ago. My parents do a great job of making it look nice!
